Eco-fee
WEEE Glossary
A visible amount which shows the purchaser the costs for collection, treatment and environmentally-friendly disposal of electronic devices. The eco-fee is also well known as eco-contribution (France) or vRg (vorgezogene Recyclinggebühr) (Switzerland). Article 14 of the WEEE Directive allows the member states to show these fees. However, this implementation happens in only a few of the EU member states.
